Yello did a deep design dive into the 2024 DNC and RNC logos. Here are some highlights:
- The DNC 2024 logo uses the three red, waving stripes element used to make the E in “Biden” in the 2024 Biden-Harris logo:
- The typeface is “Decimal’, used by the Biden campaign since 2020
- The colors are consistent with the Biden campaign, including “Biden-Harris Red” and “Biden-Harris Blue”
- Convention logos can only be aligned with the candidate design if you have an incumbent – see the 2012 logo:
Which leads us to the “well we’re treating him like an incumbent” on the other side:
- The RNC logo keeps the red outline and the 5 stars from the (sorry to have to show this) Trump logo:
- Interestingly, the RNC logo for 2024 and the previous 3 conventions have their elephant. No donkey for the Dems.
- And part of the state seems to be left off the state outline.
